Our Mission

StreamThreats provides practical, privacy-by-design safety guidance for live streamers. We help IRL and home creators understand risks and adopt effective protections against doxxing, swatting, harassment, and account compromise.

Our approach combines threat modeling, step-by-step checklists, curated privacy-enhancing technologies, platform-specific settings, and incident response playbooks—all while respecting your privacy with strict data minimization and no tracking.

Methodology

Threat Modeling

We blend STRIDE (Spoofing, Tampering, Repudiation, Information disclosure, Denial of service, Elevation of privilege) with LINDDUN (Linkability, Identifiability, Non-repudiation, Detectability, Disclosure, Unawareness, Non-compliance) frameworks, adapted for streamer-specific realities.

Verification

We cite primary sources (official platform documentation, policy pages) and timestamp all posts. Platform profiles are reviewed quarterly for accuracy.

Editorial Standards

We maintain a practical, non-alarmist tone with step-by-step guidance. All corrections are visible with changelogs. We disclose any conflicts of interest or affiliations.

Privacy-by-Design

We practice what we preach: no tracking pixels, email-only for newsletter (double opt-in), no PII storage, security headers (CSP, HSTS), and open methodology.
